Cost of the procedures: Lip Blush/ blend from $795 (Machine technique only. All prices are inclusive of 8-12 week touch-up.) How will this benefit me? Imagine... wake up, gloss and go. Lips are defined, no more blurred lip line or pale lips with no colour. Gone are the days of standard lip liner and lipstick-effect lip tattooing. The method of gentle shading will enhance your lips giving it more definition with a hint of colour, like candy lips. Perfect for those who have a very pale lip line, want fuller lips or would like to correct symmetry of their lips. Also great for those who have had fillers in the past and their lip line has been distorted or faded.
What is the difference between Lip Blush, Blend & Liner?
Lip Blush is a gentle shading over the whole lip. Do not mistaken this for lipstick, as this will heal more to look like a defined lip shading or lip stain. Wear a gloss over the top to make them pop!
Lip Blend is a gradual smudge from the designed lip line. This will heal a more softer ombre lip, with the middle of the lip being your natural lip colour.
Lip Liner is for those wanting their lip line more defined. This is a very thin line tattooed cosmetically around the desired lip line shape.
What is the healing like? Unlike eyebrows, the skin is completely different in the lip area. It is delicate compared to a membrane full of blood. So when it is tattooed, the pigments still get deposited into the lip. You will start to see crusting of the lips from Day 3 and application of ointment is a must to protect the lips but also for comfort. Once all the shedding is complete, it will look completely faded with no colour. This is normal. The cells in the area at this time are there to heal and protect your lips (and the cells are actually milky white in colour). These cells tend to sit on top of the deposited pigment. Over the course of 3 weeks to 3 months you will see then gradual defining of your lip colour. Full settlement of colour is not complete until 3 months. So make sure you book your lips 3 months prior to your event or occasion.
For those with fillers please try to have your lips done before fillers. If you already have fillers and would like the lip tattoo done please ensure that the fillers are settled. Will it look like lipstick? No. Lip Blush Tattoo is using a gentle shading technique to implant the pigment into the skin, so the overall effect once it has completely settled will be very soft and natural like a lip stain.
Does it hurt? You are numbed prior to procedure and it is quite comfortable whilst the gentle shading technique is applied.
How long is the procedure? As the lips are a more delicate area we schedule ample time to ensure that we do not overwork the area and that you are also as comfortable as possible. Please allow up to 2.5 hours.
How long does Lip Blush Tattoo last? Lip blush tattoo is said to last from up to 3 years depending on your skin. Retouches are recommended every 2 years to freshen up the colour. Retouches start from $350 - each case is different.
